Wittgenstein y la naturalización de la mente

Abstract

La "naturalización de la mente", tal como se entiende en este artículo, es la tendencia a reducir los diversos procesos de la mente a fenómenos relacionados con la actividad neuronal del cerebro. Este artículo pretende evaluar esta tendencia, heredada del cientificismo moderno, a partir del estudio crítico que, sobre el fenómeno de la mente, lleva a cabo Ludwig Wittgenstein a lo largo de sus obras principales. El objetivo de fondo es mostrar cómo estas teorías contemporáneas, que pretenden explicar científicamente lo mental, no logran comprender la naturaleza normativa del fenómeno que intentan esclarecer.

ABSTRACT
The “naturalization of the mind”, such as is understood in this article, is the tendency to reduce the diverse processes of the mind to phenomena related with the brains neuronal activity. This article pretends to evaluate this tendency, inherited from the modern scientism, from the critical study that, on the mind phenomenon, Ludwig Wittgenstein does along his main works. The bottom subject is to show how these contemporary theories, that pretend to scientifically explain the mental, don’t accomplish the understanding of the normative nature of the phenomenon that they try to clarify.
